My Beautiful Place

Far beyond the world is my beautiful place...

In my beautiful place you see stars forming beautifully in the moonlight.

In my beautiful place you can hear fireworks explode loudly like a party cracker that blew up in your ear.

In my beautiful place you can feel the softness of the cloud and the fresh scented air!

You taste pizza, cookies, cake, ice cream and other things you can think of.

In my beautiful place you can smell funky fart bombs and fruity Lollipops.

If my beautiful place was real, would you come?

Are you aware that vikings found the capital of Ireland? The name of this capital city is Dublin.

Have you heard Ireland is the only country that has four leaf clovers? By the way, the four leaf clover brings good luck to the Irish people.

Brian O’Driscoll was born in Dublin and grew up in Clontarf, Dublin. He was a member of the Irish team that won the IRB under 19 World Cup. Doody took up modeling, which turned into a career. She was born in Dublin.

Little Irish kids like to go to the pancake festival, dress up like leprechauns, irish dancing and singing.

Did you know the four leaf clover means hope, love, faith and luck!

Describing Piri Weepu.

It was windy as I looked out from the stadium to see Piri Weepu... Suddenly I heard the strong voice of Piri Weepu. I turned back and saw the terrifying Piri Weepu leading the haka .

The advancing warrior was there slapping, screaming and stomping like music in my head. At last all the thumping was gone and it was time to play the game.

Finally Piri Weepu defends strongly, passes nonstop, sprints quickly and breaks through like a bullet to the try line.

Piri Weepu is special to me because he make a great ambassador!

Sam Term Two Goals

Term Two Learning Goals

My learning goal for Reading this term is:
Making connections to stories and real life.                                                                 To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Memorize all of the stuff you did in my holiday, weddings and funerals and other things I did so I can relate to the stories I read.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Telling me memories from the past I did not know.

My learning goal for Writing this term is:
To help others by sitting next to them and encouraging them
to finish their work.  Then I will also remember what I need to do.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Ask people if they need help and asking others when I need help.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Making me mark my homework  and then tell me
what I did wrong.

My learning goal for Maths this term is:
Use 5,2 and 10s facts to solve problems.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Remember to  use 5,2 and 10s to solve problems.  Practice these facts every day.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Witting 5,2 and 10s timetables and give them to me to solve.

My personal goal this term is:
Getting fit.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Train every day and always go to rugby training.                                        My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Taking me training on time.

Marae Recount

One wonderful day, the senior syndicate went to Orakei Marae. When we got off bus we were excited and amazed. Rm7 and Rm 8 got off first. Me Darwin and Jayden were still sticking together saying “WHOA” at the huge marae. We walked in the office and waited for 1 minute and then went through to the Whare Kai. Ms Hansell told us to respect the people in the marae.

We walked into the Wharenui after the Tangata Whenua called us in. Finally we walked closer and closer. While we walked in, I saw carvings. We had to take off our shoes before we had a chance to walk in the a real marae. It was dark and shallow but it was still cool .We sat down on the warm carpet.

The Tangata Whenua shared a mihi and told us the rules of the marae. He also told us about ancient strories about the Maori gods. After that, we had lunch. I was starving and rushed to my lunch to eat. The boys of TPS formed a line and went down stairs and practiced their haka. We got better and better. We all gathered around and shared what we had done.

The girls went first as usual. It was pretty cool but the boys were loud and proud. After a tyring day, we travel back to school.

I hope we do that again!

This is Me
